If you are looking for a memorable stay, allow me to introduce you to Qbic, one of London’s (and Amsterdam’s) most fun design hotels. Each of the modern rooms at Qbic have quirk and character and feature an innovative cube centrepiece which houses the bed and bathroom. There are not many hotels that have something truly unique about them but Qbic certainly does.
There are three different types of room to chose from and each of them are fairly similar in what they contain but vary in size, they include : Smart Rooms
, Cosy Rooms
and the most spacious option of all, the Fun Rooms
. Qbic first launched in Amsterdam and you can really see a Dutch ‘touch’ in the London property. To offset the modern design of the rooms they also feature quirky, up-cycled furniture made by Dutch designer SanderBokkinga
, that you won’t find anywhere else.
The main focal point are the artistic headboards that vary from room to room. The beds are designed especially for Qbic hotels to be ultra-comfortable and environmentally considerate. They feature organic mattresses (yes it’s a thing) made from organic lambswool and coconut fibre.
Other Mod Cons
The nifty ‘Qubi’ design has built in British and European power sockets and hair dryer, along with a mounted 32′ LED flat screen television. The room also features a laptop-sized safe to store all of your valuables. There is free, easy to connect to WIFI throughout the hotel and complimentary tea and coffee is available in the corridors.
The bathroom is clean and modern. It features a delightful rainfall shower that utilises eco-friendly technology that aerates the water so there is less wasted. The organic toiletries provided are by Stop-The-Water-While-Using-Me
, a company that works on projects to provide water to places that are in shortage.
hotel is a particularly great option for younger guests or those looking for something a bit more memorable and fun than a standard hotel room. I was highly impressed by how ultra-friendly the staff at Qbic were, they will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a good stay. The fact that there is environmentally considerate technology throughout the hotel is also a big plus. I love the fun, innovative and unique concept behind Qbic and I am hoping to see them in many more cities in the future.
