Bangkok’s nighttime flower market, or Pak Khlong Talat as it’s also known, is perhaps the best smelling and most beautiful market in the city. ≈It’s a wholesale flower market that operates 24 hours a day and most of the flowers are put out by the vendors when temperatures are at their mildest; – at around 10pm-2am. Trucks and boats carrying huge deliveries of yet more flowers arrive throughout the night, which are then painstakingly arranged into a stunning displays by the vendors. By the early hours of the morning the market comes into full bloom. The spectrum of colourful exotic flowers imported from neighbouring provinces are as colourful and diverse as Thailand as a whole. I must say, it’s one of the best bloomin’ things I’ve seen in Bangkok (haha sorry).
The nighttime flower market is one my personal favourite things to see in Bangkok. You can treat friends, loved ones or even yourself to some stunning blooms for just a couple of baht. It’s located a stone’s throw away from Memorial Bridge and is easily accessible by taxi or tuktuk. For more details click HERE.
