Rooftop restaurant and bar, 20 Stories, is a place that I’d been meaning to check out, since its open, earlier in the year. 20 Stories is located in the heart of Manchester’s trendy financial district, on the on the 19th flood of No 1 Spinningfields.
Its open air terrace area provides 360 degree, panoramic views across the city of Manchester, with few other places in the city offering anything comparable.
20 Stories’ menu has been created by it Executive Chef, Aiden Byrne, often noted for being the youngest chef to be awarded a Michelin star. The dishes are made from locally sourced produce and have a northern spin.
There are an extensive array of spirits, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Gin lovers are spoilt for choice.
I opted for the venue’s signature cocktail, ’20 Stories’, apparently inspired by Manchester’s history.
The restaurant space features an incredible floor-to-ceiling panoramic view Manchester skyline, a wonderful backdrop for dining.
20 Stories was just as good as I’d hoped it would be and there is definitely room in Manchester for more venues like it. Next time you find yourself in Manchester, I would definitely recommend checking it out.
